ALL-22 Pro league guide

ALL-22 Pro is the Madden-style game inside All 22 Pokémon. You take the 22 you built through a region's eight gyms, the Elite Four and the Champion, and then a hidden game against the region's Legendaries. Here is every opponent in Kanto, Johto, Hoenn and Sinnoh: their full roster, how they call plays, and where they are weakest.

Why your lineup's fit matters in Pro

Pro turns each player's base stats into football ratings: power, anchor (holding ground), hands, arm, agility and toughness. Every one of them is multiplied by 0.75 + 0.35 × the player's position fit. A Pokémon with fit 90 plays at 1.065×; the same Pokémon at a spot where its fit is 50 plays at 0.925×, about 15% weaker at everything except speed. Speed comes mostly from the Speed stat, with fit adding up to 8%.

A few types get a small edge on top: Electric runs 3% faster, Fighting hits 6% harder, Rock and Steel hold their ground 6% better, and Psychic throws 5% harder. The kicker is graded on Special Attack, Attack and Speed.

So the lineup with the higher Team Score is also the stronger Pro team. Paste yours into the team rater to find the weak spots and the best way to arrange the same 22.

How hard each step is

The game tunes every opponent so the league gets harder in order. Its own notes for Kanto, with a standard All-22 left on autopilot: about 16 points better than Brock and Misty, 10 better than Lt. Surge and Erika, 3 better than Giovanni and Lorelei, about even with Bruno, 1.5 to 2.5 points worse than Agatha and Lance, 7 worse than Blue and 10 worse than the Legends. The jump is the Elite Four: from there on a lineup with weak spots starts losing.

The difficulty setting changes only the computer team: on Rookie it tackles a little worse and its quarterback reads slower; on All-Madden it tackles better and reads faster. Your own players are the same at every setting.
